（中央社倫敦29日綜合外電報導）青光眼病患以後可能可以把煩瑣的眼藥水給扔了，只要戴著隱形眼鏡，藥劑就可緩慢穩定地從鏡片釋放出來。
「每日郵報」（Daily Mail）報導，醫生們發明1種隱形眼鏡，能緩慢地對眼睛施予藥物。
在動物測試上，這種隱形眼鏡在治療青光眼上至少跟傳統眼藥水一樣效果良好。全世界造成失明第二大原因，就是青光眼。
這些美國研究人員指出，若進一步測試能證明這種隱形眼鏡的價值，數百萬人的視力可望受惠。
青光眼起因為眼壓升高，損害連結眼部與腦部最重要的視神經。
眼藥水不能修復這類損害，但可以防止惡化。
然而，病患並不愛用眼藥水，因為自己不容易施藥，且常有人抱怨眼睛刺痛。
因此，僅有半數左右的病患妥善用藥。
科學家過去也曾試圖把藥物放到隱形眼鏡上，但難以突破藥物釋放劑量的問題。
如今，麻州眼耳醫院（Massachusetts Eye andEar Infirmary）成功將藥物放入薄膜聚合物上，可緩慢且穩定釋放藥劑長達100天。（譯者：中央社許湘欣）1050830
泰國國王蒲美蓬駕崩，泰國總理府隨即公告，明天（10月14日）起進入國喪，所有娛樂場所也將關門30天。影響所及可能就是觀光客無法進入，台灣旅遊業者提醒，皇室景點像是大皇宮等等，都有可能會關閉，要有心理準備。雖然出團不受影響，但多少也會衝擊11月的旅遊展。
金碧輝煌的宮殿，一座座精緻建，泰國的皇室景點，大皇宮充滿濃郁藝術氣息，是觀光客旅遊必訪景點，但現在因為泰皇過世，可能去不了了。
旅行同業全聯會發言人李奇嶽：「他那邊因為國喪期間，一定會有一些不便利，但目前來講他也沒有任何說，停止旅遊活動的情況，曼谷地區一定會有，很多的一些戒嚴交通管制，或軍警提高戒備，這些措施都會出來。」
泰皇過世，泰國舉國哀傷，總理府公告，從10月14日起，進入國喪期間，所有單位，包括旅遊業，停止娛樂活動30天。旅行業者表示，皇室景點，例如大皇宮、威瑪曼宮殿等將有可能不營業，並舉辦齋戒日。
但近年泰國已經為台灣民眾到東南亞旅遊首選，近3年成長高達155％，去年（2015年）就有60萬人次到泰國，泰王的病逝，或多或少會影響台灣旅客。
旅行同業全聯會發言人李奇嶽：「尤其是在最近11月，即將到來的像是旅展，有很多是主打泰國旅遊促銷商品，我想這部分銷售上也會受到影響。」
不只國人往泰國旅遊受影響，泰國人民短期內出國旅遊意願也將降溫，根據觀光局統計，今年（2016年）截至8月，泰國來台旅遊人數達10萬多人，比去年同期大幅成長41.75%，現在碰上泰國國喪，兩國旅遊業都受衝擊。(民視新聞王暐婷、宮仲毅台北報導)
